This article talks about the importance of working in children's theater and gives different interviews from different people that talk about how much they enjoy it and how they are glad they continued to work in this field. One man says that there is "little importance is attached to children's theater". I agree with this statement. We even see that more and more schools show less and less attention to the fine arts programs due to things like athletics receiving most of the funding. Now i'm not going to harp on athletics in this post, because i did sports in high school, but I can see why childrens theater is seen as so unimportant. If high school or college aged kids don't get great support in it, why should the children get it? Unfortunately, that is how some of us think today.
